New to Surface: 'Talk Tea and a Tour' Programme

Surface introduces the new Talk, Tea and a Tour programme, providing an opportunity to learn more about current exhibitions, artists’ work and individual influences. Talk, Tea and a Tour offers you the chance to meet and probe the artists and curators, followed by a rare and personal tour of the Gallery, Artist Studios and the newly renovated Project Space … and of course a refreshing cup of tea and a slice of homemade cake!

Each event will be distinctive, as the curators and artists make it their own; new flavours of tea are served in odd tea-cups; and the tour of Surface’s ever evolving space which continues to develop and change is not to be missed!

Talk, Tea and a Tour events at Surface this November:
 
Tuesday 2nd November 4.30-6.00pm: Terra-Incognita
Artists Emma Dexter and Kashif Nadim Chaudry will be discussing the influences and inspirations behind Terra Incognita, the first exhibition in Surface Project Space. The talk will be a conversation between the to artists with questions led by Surface Gallery and from members of the audience.

Saturday 6th November 2.00pm – 4.00pm: e.m.10 Graduate Exhibition
Curators of e.m.10: Continua discuss the selection process and curation of Surface Gallery’s annual graduate exhibition, and two artists discuss their new work and their experience of creating work outside of education.
